Keith Olbermann ... Pathetic...

I find it hard to believe that night after night for the past two weeks Keith Olbermann and MSNBC insist on opening their 8:00 PM weeknight program with a lead on the Libby story. With all the other news events taking place for the past two weeks, this has night in and night out been the main focus of their news program. Their one sided, transparent attempt at slamming the Bush Administration is absolutely pathetic. In addition, they must be getting clobbered in the ratings as virtually no other news agency is devoting 25% as much of their coverage to this story and no viewers care. I guess Olbermann does so poorly in the ratings MSNBC really does not even care as long as they get the opportunity to slam Bush.

Meanwhile, nuclear history is being made with North Korea and Iran is being forced to face a growing united international community. Mark my words, the left will destroy themselves in time for Republicans to win in 2008, all because of mean-spirited, one-dimensional, smug clowns like Olbermann.

Smug, Condescending and Incomplete ...

Smug, Condescending and Incomplete...

Today's New York Times editorial manages to lecture George Bush about the benefits of talking with one's enemies. The frame work is based on all carrot and it is a proven fantasy (see Bubba/Carter/94).

Prior to 9-11 the North Korean regime laughed at the West, pocketing all incentives while moving ahead with their nuclear ambitions as they saw fit. Now it appears to be a different scenario. In a far more serious world where there are repercussions for such behavior and a motivated international community because of it, North Korea appears to be sitting down at the table with serious intentions of playing cleaner than ever before.

Who proved more successful, Jimmy Carter's love kisses or George Bush's no nonsense approach?

The New York Times Editorial
The Lesson of North Korea

It is welcome news that North Korea has agreed to move toward dismantling its nuclear weapons program in exchange for fuel oil and international acceptance — including the hope of eventual recognition by the United States. When dealing with Pyongyang (and for that matter, the Bush administration), a lot can slip betwixt the cup and the lip. But if all goes as agreed, the world will be safer.

Knowing No Shame ....

Leave it to The New York Times to try their best to place a flat spin on a major breakthrough ....their lead story today positions the monumental nuclear breakthrough between North Korea's dictatorship and the international community as a decision of convenience and necessity by two doomed leaders, essentially placing President Bush on the same level as mass murderer tyrant Kim ... truly amazing and transparent.
